For the Giyo two stage shock pump heads, we created two ODM versions to cater for personal preferences between sleek styling or visible lever connection. Both versions of the Giyo ODM two stage shock pump head have the same leakproof functionality, but achieve it with a slightly different engineering solution.
The Giyo UP-SL Shock Pump Head shown above has a lever action locking mechanism that gives a clear visual and physical indication of the state of the connection between pump and shock. Lifting the lever up extends the internal valve pusher to open the valve once the Schrader connecting ring has been spun onto the valve barrel for a secure connection. When ready to disconnect, push the lever back down before unscrewing the barrel for leak-free operation.
The Giyo UP-TS two stage shock pump head has a threaded barrel for very secure connection and a knurled sliding valve stem pusher that opens the airway once the barrel has been screwed onto the Schrader shock valve. Valve connection and valve opening mechanisms are the same diameter to enable easy access to shocks that are in recessed or obstructed positions.
The secure, leak-free attachment of the pump head ensures secure connection before pumping. This prevents air loss and enables precise, efficient inflation, with no air leaking out during connection or disconnection. Cyclists can fill shock pumps to exact pressures without fear of pressure change due to air bleeding out when removing the pump.
