Giyo engineers have created a revolutionary auto shock pump head design for our ODM bike shock pumps that enables cyclists to connect, adjust pressure and disconnect the shock pump head from their bike suspension shocks with a simple continuous action. Connection to the valve head opens the valve without leakage, and disconnection reverses the process, closing the valve before disconnecting.
An auto shock pump head that opens the valve after securely connecting the pump head and closes the valve automatically before disconnecting from the valve stem eliminates air leaks. This is a much needed option for ODM bike pumps to satisfy the demands of riders for precision suspension adjustment. Standard shock pumps do not have a way of preventing air from escaping when disconnecting after reaching the desired pressure, and this is a constant source of frustration for tuning-conscious bike riders.
Precision tuning of bike suspension is here to stay, and standard shock pump heads are not up to the task. We find cyclists of all types and preferences from devoted MTB fans to touring bike enthusiasts, commuter cyclists and e-bike riders who all express dissatisfaction with the difficulties of correctly adjusting their bike suspension shocks and front forks due to leaking air on disconnection.
At Giyo, our engineers have decades of experience solving specialist bike pump engineering issues and resolving user experience problems with traditional and standard styles of bike pump and shock pump heads. When we look at how cyclists discuss their wants and needs for better bike pump designs and performance, we then work on how we might engineer a solution. The simple, intuitive auto shock pump head shown in the diagram above is a perfect example of our thoughtful, efficient engineering design.
The lessons learned from the problems people have with standard bike shock pumps are the starting point for our focus on innovative, better, solutions. It is very clear how important it is to bike riders to have a reliable way to tune their bike suspension without having to estimate how much pressure will be lost when disconnecting the pump.
The high pressure of suspension shocks drops very rapidly with disconnection leaks compared to lower pressure tires, for which disconnection leaks are less of a problem. It was obvious to our engineers that the direct transfer of tire pump head technology to the much higher pressures of shock pumps is never going to achieve the precision that tuning-conscious customers want to achieve.
Giyo has a reputation for building innovative, high quality, shock pumps. We make two types of leak-free shock pump to cater to all market segments. Both types are manufactured to our excellent quality standards to ensure reliable, consistent operation, and can be styled to match your brand identity.
Our two-stage shock pumps use a visible lever or sliding barrel to provide a positive feel for the valve opening. This gives customers an immediate visual and physical indication of the valve position, and the two options are well suited for accessing shock pump valves that have differing levels of accessibility.
The Giyo auto shock pump head uses the action of screwing the shock pump head onto the valve to open and close the valve automatically once the pump head is fully seated onto the valve. This eliminates leaks and enables very precise pressure control.
We need to consider customer preferences for different styles of connection to the shock pump valve, and this is why we manufacture two styles of shock pump head. One shock pump head style has visual and physical indicators of two-stage connection status and the second style has a sleek, inline, hidden, single-action auto valve operation. This gives our ODM partners multiple options for customer segmentation of their choice of customizable Giyo leak-free shock pump design.
Giyo is continuously researching and developing new bike pumps, pump heads and shock pump heads to meet new and emerging industry needs that we and our ODM partners identify. We think our new auto shock pump heads are the ultimate in bike pump ODM for a sophisticated market segment of bike riders who appreciate and have a desire for high precision, high quality engineering that enables them to achieve their bike tuning goals.
Giyo auto shock pump heads are one of many integrated elements of Giyou ODM bike pump design and engineering, which encompasses other leak free pump head designs, soft touch air bleed valves for precision tuning, leak-free swivels for better pump storage and improved valve access at any angle, and our combination two stage high and low pressure pumps for shocks and tires.
